Poe
Edger Poe is a man whose min is twisted and goes beyond the limits of science fiction. His twisted mind and character is obsessed with death.
Edger Poe was a man whose mind couldn’t wrap around the concept of death. People can infer this by his many stories on death. Also by the way he describes peoples deaths in very vivid detail, it’s as if he can’t understand death. So he writes about it countless and numerous times just to fathom the understanding. The three main stories he shows his twisted antics in are The Tell-Tale Heart, The Masque of the Red Death, and The fall of the House of Usher. These are the main stories that he shows his most penmen ship on.
The Tell-Tale Heart a short story was about a man who was upset with a elderly gentlemen all because of his eyes. In the short story he expressed his feelings on the mans eyes like they were burning a hole through his body. In the story he said he posses an “Evil eye” (The tell-Tale Heart, Poe). So he eagerly planned a night where he would murder the elder man because his “Vulture eye made me feel pale and made my blood run” (The tell-Tale Heart, Poe). The twisted part about the story is that he made sure to murder the old man when he was sleep. The younger man was so obsessed with is death he couldn’t stop thinking about it. He couldn’t stomach killing the elderly man because when he murdered him he kept thinking about how he did it. Also by him hearing a strange ring inside of his head (The tell-Tale Heart, Poe).
The Masque of the Red Death is another story where he lets the people outside of his mind know the true meaning of sick twisted mind. He showed this by creating a character called Black Death. In this particular story this character had died and every other person in the room had fell and died as well (The Masque of the Red Death, Poe). After this mysteriously everyone in the town had came down with a pelage and everyone was dying non-stop. To escalade the problem their prince was only with healthy people and thought they should’ve lived and the poor die to the disease like they are rats (The Masque of the Red Death, Poe). Poe didn’t allow the wicked to live; He feels like even if the weak die off he believes the evil or wicked must not see the daylight because of their ways. The prince and his friends were exuded by the pelage in the home witch they all lived him. They were picked off one by one like flies attached to their 3 days of life. The prince failed to see that he let a holder of death enter his home without knowing.

The fall of the House of Usher is a story created and understood by only the strange and wicked minded? This story touched base with an ill man named Roderick. Who reached out to his dear friend for help. His friend come to the home and notices the house and how it is gloomy as if it aluminates sandiness from is foundation. He walks in to see his friend sick unhealthy (The fall of the House of Usher, Poe). His friend noticed that his features where different he also saw that he was physically unwell. Roderick had a sister to who was sick as well. Him and his friend the narrator had buried her alive with out knowing this. They found out by the narrator reading a book and hearing strange noises witch followed the description of the book (The fall of the House of Usher, Poe). They went towards the basement to dig her up but they where to late to see that she was covered in her own blood to escape. The Roderick dies out of fear. The narrator rushes out of the house to realize that it fell in like its own foundation was the cause of its own destruction.
